Comprehensive End-User Features: Full set of end-user desktop
fax features includes fax scheduling based on time and priority,
private and public phone books, real-time fax status monitoring
and notification via e-mail, support of local and server-based attachments
including PDF and Postscript files, and multiple, customizable cover
pages.
Full Function Windows Client: ReplixFax for Windows Client is
available for all Windows platforms to send, receive, and forward
fax messages to and from desktop computers, manual fax machines,
and other telecommunications devices. The client supports access
to a variety of personal and public phone books, using ODBC, LDAP,
or ADS, and allows previewing of outbound faxes and monitoring of
their status.
Scalable, Distributed Architecture: The three-tiered, distributed
architecture of ReplixFax system consists of user clients, server,
and the Intelligent Modem Gateway (IMG). As your faxing volume grows,
you can simply add more IMGs, either locally or at a remote location
within your network configuration.
Reliable, High Performance Implementation: Modular implementation
with bulletproof operation and dynamic load balancing provides maximum
efficiency and reliability for running mission critical fax messaging
applications for both enterprise and service providers.
Flexible Configuration and High Availability: High availability
is achieved at no extra cost through dynamic connectivity between
the server(s) and modem gateway(s). In addition the system can be
upgraded to 24x7 fault-tolerant configuration for ultimate non-stop
operation.
Web-based Central Administration: You can administer any single
server or multiple servers and gateways from a single, remote location
with full control and access security to monitor, configure and
manage all Replix users, multiple fax servers and Intelligent Modem
Gateways (IMGs) via any Web browser.
Advanced Fax Server Features
Integrated E-mail Gateway: ReplixFax server supports any SMTP/POP3
e-mail systems via fully integrated Internet SMTP mail gateway.
Users can send, receive and manage faxes through their e-mail interface,
and receives automatic fax status notification via e-mail.
Real-time Delivery Confirmation and Tracking
Least Cost Routing: Route fax traffic over the Internet or wide-area
IP networks to significantly reduce fax phone charges for international
long distance calls. Routing is based on the global phone number
dialing scheme and delivers faxes to the final destination as a
local call through a local IMG. Users can use their own rate tables
and algorithms to determine the least cost route.
Intra-company On-net Routing: When multiple ReplixFax servers
are deployed within a global enterprise, a user on one Replix server
can send faxes to Replix users on other Replix servers without using
the telephone network for intra-company fax communication.
Retransmission of Failed Fax Pages: When a fax session fails
in the middle of a transmission, only those pages that were not
transmitted are retransmitted on the retry.
Global Phone Dialing Support: Global phone number dialing rule
support manages correct outbound dialing for fax transmission that
includes string substitutions for country code and long distance
dialing handling.
Advanced Inbound Fax Tracking: Enhanced fax queue management
ensures that no fax is lost or intractable while in transit over
the network despite any network failures or remote server or gateway
failures.
Detailed Logging for Billing Support: Detailed call data record
(CDR) is generated and can be exported to the customer’s billing
program to track and manage the fax usage. Details on the user,
fax destination numbers and duration, number of pages transmitted
or received, and other fax session related information is provided
for multi-server billing support and accounting records.
Server Efficiency for High Performance: Separate cover page processor
and streaming communication protocol between fax server and IMG
reduces overall disk, network and system load for higher server
efficiency.
Broadcast List Support: Broadcast list is supported for convenient
fax broadcasting by submitting the fax broadcast list to the server
along with the fax file.
Advanced System Administration Capabilities
Multi-Server Administration: When multiple ReplixFax servers
are deployed, a "Master Server" can be designated to provide user
and department administration for multiple servers.
Multi-level User Management: Also multi-level user management
Server, Department, and User – provides a convenient means for hierarchical
fax preference setting control. You may set the fax preferences
to use department or server defaults, or customize them for specific
individuals.

logs can be viewed and managed through the Web administration interface
and can be used for remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Web-Based Cover Page Administration: Cover page administration
allows you to view, upload, and delete the cover pages though the
Web interface. In addition, you can download and modify included
Microsoft Word .DOC file cover page templates.
Integration Toolkits

compact, server-based toolkit allows you to quickly fax enable your
